Reporting To: Merchandiser on Brand

 

 

 

Main Duties

 

·               To allocate New stock to stores using the grading system

·               To use sales analysis to grade stores according to sales performance, working closely with the branch merchandising team

·               To work closely with branch merchandising to create stock grades

·               To use Monday sales reports to provide the team with sales analysis for trading meeting

·               To replenish store stock using sales and grading information, ensuring that stores are turning on a healthy cover and that the stock is in the right place

·               To undertake analysis to identify strong or poor performing stores or lines and make suggestions to your merchandiser on any action that needs to be taken

·               To work closely with the buying team when planning new line allocations in order to allow enough time to quality check each line.

·               To work closely with the store communications team to ensure that the visual merchandising team receive clear instructions when receiving stock

Brand integrity

·               To have an awareness of the range and any key drivers/volume lines in order to make sure that stores have adequate stock levels

·               Implicate any changes required to lines or stores by given deadline

·               Action any stock builds or stock packages for new stores

·               Use the buy plan and the delivery schedule to manage intake and plan allocations and picks

Photography Assistant/ Part time

Hours of work 8.30 am to 5.00 Tuesday/Wednesday/ Thursday.

Working with the creative team to provide visual creative solutions

for each brand. 

Photography of all products across all brands.

Follows viusal guidelines provided.

Must be aware of fashion photography trends.

Fully competent in Adobe CS3 and Microsoft Office

There will be opportunities for the assistant to style specific creative shoots as well as producing standard product images for high street brands.

Assistant Merchandiser
Job Description
Reporting To: Merchandiser on Brand
Objective
To support the merchandiser in maximising profit through stock management,
planning and analysis.
To assist the merchandiser in planning and trading the department within the agreed parameters.
To assist the merchandiser in managing the allocation team
Main Duties
To assist your merchandiser by working closely with the buying team to agree and review
departmental plans and to ensure that the correct procedures are followed at all stages
To help your merchandiser provide relevant and timely analysis and planning documentation
to the buying team to management and the host company.
To establish and maintain good communication with host company whenever necessary and
with other buying and merchandising teams.
To establish and maintain good communication with the field team and work together to
drive profit
With support of the merchandiser help manage the allocation team to ensure a balanced
distribution of stock to each of the brands/stores as well as ongoing management of stock
levels
To help identify potential for growth/factors which might limit sales and provide solutions to
the same
To use the systems available efficiently to ensure the validity of data
To support the implementation of healthy and safe working practices
Is able to cover for the Merchandiser when away.
To participate in projects or carry out projects that may be outside the standard remit that
will benefit the individual as well as the company as a whole.
Responsibilities
Brand Integrity
To work closely with your merchandiser & buying team to create an optimum range for the
target market
To be aware of core lines which may successfully be distributed to an alternative brand if
available quantities allow or can be cancelled out of completely if not performing to its
planned expectations
Recording and Sharing Data
To help keep the buyer informed of any changes to the agreed critical path and to the buy
plans
To assist the merchandiser in maintaining Merchandising documentation
such as margin, supplier and Namad as well as provide submits as and when needed.
Completes end of season Lessons Learnt analysis and uses as a tool to improve the next
season
Can analyse weekly trading performance, making recommendations to the merchandiser as
and presenting this information in weekly trade meetings
Works towards and supports the merchandiser in the presentation of the range in sign off
meetings to senior management
Market Knowledge
To be aware of brand/customer profile
To be aware of outside retail activity
Conduct regular competitor shops to gather market intelligence in order to make
recommendations to the merchandiser and buying team
Distribution
To ensure that stores are graded accurately as sales and space dictate by working with
branch merchandising and the allocation team.
Maintains a good working relationship with W.House team
Correct Procedures
To ensure that procedures are followed correctly
To ensure that ancillary processes are also completed
Technical Skills
Understanding of Microsoft excel and how to use it effectively with use of formulae
