ASSEMBLY OPERATORS

Job Purpose: The assembly / build of micro components / instrumentation and devices.

Principle Responsibilities:

To produce good quality small components, excellent accuracy and attention to detail required.

Control materials and required paperwork as necessary.

To fully comply with Health and Safety Policies

Any other duties as required.

Regular contact with Department manager, Team leaders, Team members and other departments

Knowledge and Experience:

Ability to manufacture small components and add components to instrumentation to produce a complete assembly. 

Working through a microscope excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity is required.

Ability to interpret, understand and work from drawings

 Knowledge of light-mechanical micro assembly and testing
 Knowledge of manufacturing processes

Assist with testing of completed components as required
 Ability to record and document the throughput of work in accordance with company procedures
Basic computer skills

Ideally previous experience in soldering, small component assembly and electronics.

 Ability to maintain system requirements

Starting salary £12,000 - £13,000 Salary banding for this role potentially rises to £15,000.

In addition there are performance related bonuses and regular salary reviews.
